The Whole Foods Market at 3rd and 3rd in Brooklyn, NY, features an industrial-chic design that reflects the neighborhood's edgy and creative vibe. The building’s architecture showcases exposed brick, steel beams, and reclaimed wood, paying homage to Brooklyn’s industrial past.

Large windows flood the store with natural light, highlighting the open floor plan and high ceilings. The design balances raw, rustic elements with modern amenities, creating a warm, urban market feel that resonates with the eclectic spirit of the Gowanus neighborhood.

This project reclaims an urban ‘brownfield’ and, with its rooftop hydroponic greenhouses, was the first LEED Platinum grocery store in the US.
